We are searching for a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant – Pharmacy Practice who can be based in our major hubs; Seattle, Portland, San Francisco or San Diego.What can you expect?This is a tremendous opportunity to be a part of one of our fastest growing specialty practices. The Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant – Pharmacy Practice position is a critical new addition to the Managed Pharmacy practice at Mercer. This person will have significant external and internal interaction with clients, Mercer consultants and other resources with the goal of making Mercer the preeminent consultant regarding all issues related to pharmacy.What’s in it for you?• We are the global leader in health and benefits consulting. We deliver innovative solutions that address the health and wellness needs of our clients and their employees• We offer top-notch benefits: multiple medical, dental, and vision plans with choices to fit all needs and budgets - benefits coverage starting Day 1• In addition, Mercer offers other benefits, discounts on products and services, and more!​We will count on you to:• Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for a group of select mid-market and national accounts, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement and benchmarking• Identify current provider performance gaps and make recommendations to control spend and trend• Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions• Leverage Mercer’s size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts• Lead successful regional and national marketing pursuits• Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members• Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members• Day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients• Work effectively as part of a team Additionally, this role assists the broader practice in new solution development based on marketplace developments• Manage different internal resources to create client deliverables. this could include pricing team, clinical resources and H&B consultants• Handle quick deadlines and multiple projects at the same timeWhat you need to have:• Bachelor of Science degree• Minimum of 8 years of consulting or other relevant experience in pharmacy managed care industry• Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skillsWhat makes you stand out:• MBA or PharmaD highly valued• Strong client-facing experience• Excellent organization and project management skills.• Ability to prioritize and simultaneously handle multiple and complex projects in a demanding work environmentMercer believes in building brighter futures by redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being.
