Note: This role is an individual contributor role. As such, this person should have a go-getter mentality and be ready and willing to “get their wings dirty” when they join.
As a Senior Editor at MessageBird, you will steer the content motion that helps drive the adoption of our platform. Your work will involve developing our content strategy, executing the content roadmap, and managing the agencies involved in the production process. This includes the entire process from brief to edit.
The core of your work will consist of creating well-researched, high-quality content that enables us to attract customers through campaigns and SEO. On top of the acquisition-focused content, you will be responsible for developing thought leadership tracks for our senior leadership team to share in PR campaigns or at conferences to shape the perception of MessageBird in the market.
While initially, the content will primarily be written, over time, we will expand into other formats like video and audio.
Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of MessageBird's content.
Develop, implement, and manage the content roadmap, including foundational product content, pain point content, educational content, and thought leadership.
Analyze and optimize content performance against defined KPIs, including customer references, demand generation, SEO ranking, contact acquisition, product adoption, and brand recognition.
Collaborate closely with demand generation and sales to ensure they have what they need to execute their go-to-market.
Translate the thoughts and vision of subject matter experts and our senior leadership team into compelling narratives.
Translate content strategy to a platform-native organic social strategy.
Translate long-form content into PDFs, videos, and podcasts.
7+ years of experience in content strategy and execution within a tech or SaaS organization. Preferably writing for a marketing audience.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail and a deep understanding of the customer's journey.
Expert knowledge of content marketing, SEO, and digital marketing strategies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team and manage agencies.
Strong understanding of the customer and feel for the product.
Analytical mindset, comfortable working with data to inform content decisions.
