Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.What You Will Do• Proactively coordinates program activities to meet the needs of identified clients with attention to detail.• Provides direction, training and support for the specific assigned community program using approved program methods and content.• With minimum supervision, implements program activities to meet the needs of identified clients.• Assists with evaluating effectiveness of program activities.• Demonstrates effective planning, time management, creativity, self-development, and professional competency.• Performs other job functions as assigned.Education/Formal Training Requirements• Bachelor's Degree• Master's DegreeWork Experience Requirements• 3-5 years Community outreach programsKnowledge, Skills And Abilities• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office program or programs as indicated in the specific function within the department.• Ability to operate standard office equipment.• Ability to understand and compose complex written materials.• Ability to exercise independent judgment with tact and diplomacy in all situations.• Must be able to assess needs of clients and respond appropriately.• Strong ability to integrate knowledge and theory into practice.• Ability to demonstrate skill in organization, coordination and time management.• Must be able to provide effective instructions to clients.• Must be able to communicate verbally in an effective and positive manner with clients.• Must be able to demonstrate effective communication and negotiating skills with and between individuals and diverse groups of people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, including Associates, social services providers, business entities, and students and their families.• Excellent influencing, consultative and coaching skills.• Skills required include consensus building, problem resolution, strategic and tactical planning.Supervision Provided by this Position• There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. This position may be responsible for training peers, students, and volunteers.Physical Demands• Annual TB Skin Test, Flu vaccine. TDAP as required.• The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.• Must have good balance and coordination.• The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.• The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.• Local travel outside of the office required.• Exposure to patient bodily fluids as well as exposure to hazardous or poisonous materials.Our Associates are passionate about what they do, the service they provide and the patients they serve.
