As a Privacy Program Manager, your role will be to conduct privacy reviews, monitor and assure privacy standards, drive scalable processes that keep us in compliance with regulatory requirements, and develop the program, processes and controls needed to safeguard Microsoft’s confidential information. The candidate has a passion for protecting both Microsoft’s and our customer’s information, and enabling the business to mitigate the risk of a privacy incident through scalable processes.• This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ• Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates are required to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.• This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Proactively revise and develop privacy guidance materials.• Inventory systems and identify / mitigate manual processes with privacy implications.• Identify and drive program, process, and tooling improvements.• Act as a privacy advisor, provide privacy expertise on user consent, data collection requirements, data storage and processing, and ensuring services meet privacy requirements and business objectives.• Other• Embody our Culture and ValuesQualificationsRequired Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development• OR equivalent experience.• 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.• 2+ years working with compliance or regulatory programs.• 2+ years of professional experience in a combination of roles in privacy, operations security, information protection, risk management, technical program management or equivalent.Other Requirements• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications• Understanding of privacy policy, regulatory landscape, and privacy risk.• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or other equivalent certification.• Experience working with legal / regulatory teams to translate privacy requirements to actionable engineering plans.Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
