Are you passionate about building businesses and products, driving discovery of great games, and helping Microsoft reach more than 2B+ gamers with our gaming subscriptions?The Content Analysis, Planning & Strategy team within Xbox Planning & Insights organization is chartered with laying out the roadmap and strategic framework for content genre & audience, driving business growth by assessing the impact of new launches & driving insights into content performance, building content demand plan, manage to the plan & help drive content efficiency.We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Business Planner for Game Pass. In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning & forecasting the attribution of overall subscriptions revenue to discrete titles, 3P publishers and Microsoft Gaming Studios. Revenue attribution at a title and publisher level is critical for driving an enhanced understanding of overall performance, aligning incentives and generating insights for optimizing return on investment.This role is an incredible chance to develop your general management acumen and end-to-end business leadership skills. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.Responsibilities• Develop & refine methodology for Game Pass subscriptions revenue attribution forecasting: Develop the methodology for forecasting Game Pass subscriptions revenue attribution to discrete titles, third party publishers & first party studios, partnering with data science and content business planners.• Own & deliver drivers-based Game Pass subscriptions revenue attribution forecasts as per finance rhythm: Deliver quarterly forecast, and in quarter updates, for subscriptions revenue attribution as per the finance’s cadence, split by third party publishers, Microsoft Gaming Studios and key titles.• Collaborate effectively with relevant teams for output: Effective collaboration with Microsoft Gaming Studios, third party content planning and finance to aggregate feedback and incorporate in the forecasts.• Drive business & strategic insights related to revenue attribution: Leverage the forecasts and variance to forecasts to drive insights for content selection, portfolio and overall P&L optimization.• Contribute to longer term strategic planning: Develop long range models (3 – 5 years) for subscriptions revenue attribution, to be leveraged in all up Gaming LRP (Long Range Plan), including budgeting & planning for next fiscal year.Other• Embody our Culture & ValuesQualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development• OR equivalent experience.Additional Or Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development• OR equivalent experience.• 7+ years’ experience in business management, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, marketing, finance or product planning experience in technology sectors. Preferably a high degree of familiarity with games, trends & development.• Financial modeling experience, comfortable with pressure testing key assumptions from multiple perspectives and explaining drivers in a simple manner.• Experience in cross-org program management, with ability to successfully navigate roadblocks and challenges.• Track record of navigating ambiguity to drive outcomes and clarity by leveraging structured frameworks and quantitative and qualitative insights.• Experience with building robust and scalable processes; a willingness to challenge the status quo & drive creative and unique solutions.• A passion for learning about entertainment/gaming and subscriptionsProduct Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
