Summer 2025 Internship - Mechanical Engineer

Milhouse Engineering and Construction is excited to engage a summer intern in Mechanical Engineering for our Aviation Team.  


Candidates for this opportunity should be currently a senior or incoming senior level student who is graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Candidates will be working on a variety of assignments supporting current aviation projects which will provide valuable learning and development exposure. 


Candidates preferably reside in the Chicago-land area or are able to cover their own housing requirements. The work environment will entail working in our office or project team environment following the Milhouse guidelines for safe practices throughout their internship. 


The Milhouse Summer Internship program will begin in early June 2025 and end around mid-August 2025.  


What you will do:
  • Design to client and regulatory requirements.  
  • Manage projects to schedule and budget.
  • Preparing project documents and reports.  
  • Maintaining project files.  
  • Data and document entry into various platforms.  
  • Assist management as directed.  
  • System Load Calculations(building loads, pump calculation, etc.)  


What we are looking for:
  • Completion of two years or more of engineering classwork at an ABET accredited institution.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to execute efficiently within a time sensitive deliverable schedule.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to plan and organize daily tasks effectively.


$20 - $25 an hour
The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
