Purpose: The Senior Digital Strategist is responsible for providing digital media solutions to our clients. The Strategist, together with the internal team, works hand-in-hand with the clients’ marketing department and creative agency to ensure the development of effective and unique media campaigns. Based on given objectives, the strategist applies their knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate vehicles for building awareness of a client’s brand. He/she is further responsible for managing both external and internal stakeholders to ensure effective client delivery.
Strategy
•Take lead on digital strategies and ensure they contain strategic insights, digital roadmaps and measurable KPI’s against which we are measured.
•Create strong, compelling and strategic media recommendations on how digital channels can be used to integrate the consumer journey and define the role of media use to the consumer.
•Design the digital strategy to meet communications objective across channels.
•Use client data and technology architecture to provide digital data led strategic solutions to clients.
•Strive to deliver media solutions that drive key objectives to ensure budget efficacy and performance.
•Work in collaboration with the Client Partner, planning, as well as implementation groups to develop budget allocations across digital media.
•Provide insights on emerging media and new, digital opportunities
•Build competitor/brand reviews to ensure execution of strategic actions.
•Ensure regular media update presentations to client e.g. trends, landscapes, hot topics etc.
•Actively participates in client/ vendor initiatives/ workshops ensuring media strategies receive the benefit of continuous research.
•Understand GroupM/Open tools/ products to identify key opportunities where responsible and recommended.
•On an ongoing basis, track and optimize recommendations on all live campaigns to deliver maximum performance and efficiency.
•Collaborate with the implementation team on reporting to deliver insights and optimization recommendations.
Relationship Management
•Be the key day-to-day digital contact for the Account Leadership team.
•Develop strong relationships at all client levels.
•Maintain and develop strong symbiotic relationships with media partners/ vendors to contribute to best of business digital media strategy.
•Ensure you update and maintain your knowledge of the client’s organizational structure, planning process, marketing calendar and the needs of key stakeholders.
•Ensure that client relationships continue to be strengthened by the quality of our deliverables and client satisfaction with our work.
•Deep immersion into client to ensure thorough understanding of client business needs.
The Ideal Candidate
•Minimum 6 years’ work experience in a strategic role.
•Minimum 8 years' experience in Digital.
•Deep knowledge of Digital Channels.
•Experience working at a Media Agency.
•Presentation skills.
•Strategic Mindset.
•Strong understanding of the media landscape.
•Significant proven experience of working with multiple stakeholders, e.g., suppliers, advertising/marketing agencies, media owners.
•Understands business principles and good practice.
