It’s a big, bold idea and it will take an army of intelligent, tough, ambitious, optimistic, and curious people to get there. 

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Consultant to join our team at Minoan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully launching tech products within the retail and/or hospitality sectors. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies that drive product adoption and market penetration. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience, a background in PR, and the ability to coordinate and execute conferences.. 

This role is based out of Minoan’s headquarters in NYC, remote optional, with a preference that this individual could easily get to NYC when needed, where most of our team is located.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research and Analysis:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.

    • Analyze data to inform product positioning and go-to-market strategies.

  2. Product Launch and Strategy:

    • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans for new tech products.

    • Coordinate with product development, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

    • Create and manage product launch timelines and deliverables.

  3. Marketing Campaigns:

    • Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns to generate product awareness and drive demand.

    • Utilize various channels, including PR, digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and events.

    • Public Relations:

      1. Leverage PR strategies to enhance product visibility and brand reputation.

      2. Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.

    • Conference Coordination:

      1. Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences and industry events to promote Minoan’s products and services.

      2. Manage event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, and vendor coordination.

  4. Sales Enablement:

    • Develop sales enablement materials, such as product demos, presentations, brochures, and case studies.

    • Train sales teams on product features, benefits, and key selling points.

  5. Performance Metrics:

    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of marketing initiatives.

    • Use analytics to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.

  6. Customer Insights and Feedback:

    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine product offerings and marketing strategies.

    • Conduct surveys, focus groups, and user testing to gain deeper insights into customer experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product marketing, preferably within the tech, retail, or hospitality sectors.

  • Proven track record of successfully bringing new tech products to market.

  • Strong understanding of the retail and hospitality industries.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics.

  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Background in public relations and experience in coordinating and executing conferences.

  • Experience with digital marketing strategies and tools (e.g., SEO, PPC, social media marketing).

  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the retail and hospitality sectors.
