Finance Intern

Model N is looking for college students (who have completed their junior year) ready to jump start their career exposure with an internship. We offer unparalleled hands-on experience working in an exciting yet challenging industry. Consider this an early career start, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by some of the brightest minds at Model N. 

You will have the opportunity to get to know the other Model N interns and participate in workshops and trainings designed just for you and your peers.  In addition, each week there will be time for additional learning through LinkedIn Learning on topics to help you develop your skills and business acumen.  

For the Finance Internship, we are seeking candidates with strong Excel and Power BI skills. The Finance Internship will consist of the following Projects:

Primary Project:  Power BI Dashboard Creation – Mapping Revenue to Cost 

Bonus Project 1:  Software License Database – Review contracts and categorize information 

Bonus Project 2: Centralize datasources that are key to finance (Revenue, Bookings, Expenses) 

Bonus Project 3: Clean up SharePoint file pathways 

• Partner with business and various teams (IT, GCTS, GCS) regularly to define scope and requirements of project.
• Work closely with FP&A team to improve upon existing processes.
• AWS Revenue to Cost dashboard would be deliverable upon end of internship.
• Software License database would be ongoing throughout internship.
• Learning opportunities include learning financial systems and tools (excel, powerBI, Adaptive) and understanding of FP&A processes.
• Responsibilities also include helping FP&A team on various workstreams and deliverables (Product Cost Mapping, AvB, business requests). 

• Willingness to learn new skillsets 
• Basic excel, O365 knowledge 
• Communication Skills 
• Ability to take on complex projects 

• This internship is an hourly paid position ($20-$22/hour). The internship will last 10 weeks, June 3- Aug 9, 2024.
