Product Design Lead

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for a player-coach who thrives in a hands-on design environment while also excelling in leadership and mentorship. As a Product Design Lead, you will balance individual contributor (IC) work with team management, hiring and guiding a small but talented group of designers.

Our platform is complex for many reasons - we have multiple products (payments, ledgers, reconciliation), we serve multiple user personas (finance/ops, “builders”), and we handle immense data (billions of data points for some customers). We are looking for someone who has experience building product in similarly complex companies, and who has therefore lived through the tradeoffs and learnings inherent in these environments. Experience building enterprise software products is a plus.

We are dedicated to transforming the way teams work, particularly within finance and engineering, by pioneering AI-first workflows that optimize efficiency and productivity. This requires close partnership with engineering, both to understand where we are today and what is possible. Experience with AI-first workflows is a plus. Curiosity and a desire to learn about the future of AI is a must.

Our expectation for this role is that you will be in office (SF or NYC) at least 2-3 days most weeks. Although we are a hybrid company, it is critical for speed and learning to sit alongside the founders and/or product managers. You will report directly to the co-founder and Chief Product Officer, and be a critical partner in defining product vision and strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years as a Product Designer and 1+ years of management experience. Your current role may be either as an IC or a manager

• Experience with complex user problems, has built enterprise software preferably

• Interest in AI and FinTech

• In-office (SF or NYC) at least 2 to 3 times a week
