Sr. Java Back-end Software Engineer

Our client located in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Senior Back-end Software Engineer who will be an exceptional addition to their technology team. No 3rd Parties, please As a Senior Software Developer, you will help us build, monitor, deploy, test, and optimize the user signup APIs for all of platforms (Web, iOS, Android and Living Room devices) as well as those APIs with their Web... implementation. The right person for this role has strong back-end service development experience as well as an understanding about how APIs are consumed by clients. If you are someone who can design flexible, extensible, clean APIs, then this is a great role for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO Write code that powers the cross-platform experience for millions of users Help drive the backend server architecture powering a configurable signup flow (and other features in the future) Coordinate with other teams to refactor our subscription management platform to future-proof the APIs WHAT TO BRING 8 years experience developing back-end software Strong knowledge of server-side application development Experience with Scrum and Agile processes and practices Advocacy of software development best practices The ability to communicate clearly with other tech teams as well as non-technical business stakeholders Mentoring skills to show other developers how to build what's best for the long-term, not just for today A desire to ship good user experiences that will keep our quality bar high NICE-TO-HAVES Knowledge of A/B testing approaches and frameworks Experience with Facebook's ReactJS and Redux. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
