This role will be responsible for organization-wide compliance, training, and development as it relates to Inventory analysis & reporting, as well as play a major part in department projects.What you’ll do:• Developing and coordinating inventory reports and analysis to drive efficiency and productivity• Partner with BU leadership to optimize inventory management and acts as a liaison between inventory services and other functional areas of the organization to ensure proper use of the various inventory system transactions• Audits companywide inventory activities, functions, records, and accounts to detect deviations from established policies, procedures, or any fraudulent or wasteful activity• Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory• Identifies and resolves daily inventory problems. Performs research to resolve or explain discrepancies, variances, or outstanding items• Reconciles inventory accounts to the general ledger• Interfaces with internal and external customers and establishes and maintains positive business relationships internally and externally to ensure effective and efficient coordination of services and to promote company goals• Perform and verify data entry, audit reports, account database maintenance, file maintenance, etc.• Processes and maintains month-end reports and other department activity reports. Performs basic administrative tasks to maintain inventory information and complete required daily activity reporting, this includes but is not limited to performing and verifying data entry, audit reports, inventory database maintenance, and file maintenance• Special projects as requiredWhat you have:• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, is required.• 3+ years of experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment (preferred)• Knowledge of Inventory management• Proficient using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, and Email, required)• Good understanding of accounting concepts, terminology, practices, and principles• Understanding of the concepts, practices, systems, and terminology of inventory management• Knowledge of ERP database systems – (SAP, SAP Business Intelligence, AS400)What you’re good at:• Communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals in written, oral and interpersonal forms• Exercising independent judgment and demonstrating solid time management and organizational skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems• Accepting responsibility, challenging established practices, and drawing relevant conclusions, including the willingness to take a calculated risk, to stimulate, market, and sell new ideas within the division• Staying organized and paying attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentWhat else?• This role may provide leadership and direction to project teams and junior team members.• We’re located in a pretty great spot – check out this video to see what we mean.#LI-AD1Mohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
