We’re seeking a Lead Engineer for the Atlas Stream Processing team to provide technical direction, direct architecture decisions, and implement core parts of the new stream processing architecture that GA’d in the summer of 2024. Atlas Stream Processing enables processing streams of complex data using the same data model and Query API used in Atlas databases.
Atlas Stream Processing enables developers to continuously process streaming data alongside critical application data stored in their database. It builds upon MongoDB’s integrated developer data platform; enabling developers to stand up a stream processor and database with just a few API calls and lines of code, all fully managed on Atlas. Our product is quickly gaining traction with customers and we are adding core features that you will contribute to and own.
As a Team Lead on the Atlas Streams Platforms team, you will be responsible for leading and growing an engineering team, taking on challenging, high-visibility projects that improve and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of the distributed systems underlying Atlas Streams. The Atlas Streams team prides itself on building high-quality software and lives MongoDB cultural values every day – we value intellectual curiosity and honesty, and building together in an environment that prioritizes collaboration over competition. Our team is distributed across North America, supporting both in-office and remote work with convenient work hours for each time zone.

Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
