Job Description

The HR Recruiting Specialist is responsible for contributing to the success of Monro’s recruitment and staffing strategies by delivering a personal touch to candidates during the onboarding experience. Will have direct oversight to the recruitment process to include review of job requisitions, positing jobs, screening candidates, and supporting the onboarding process to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for candidates and new teammates.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a resource to candidates in the preboarding and onboarding process for new teammates by providing a personalized experience to each new hire
  • Troubleshoot technical issues experienced by candidates in completing the preboarding or onboarding process and provide assistance as necessary
  • Assist in building, opening, and assigning new requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System (Oracle)
  • Assist hiring managers in posting openings using online venues, with professional organizations, job boards, and in other position-appropriate venues.
  • Support in the creation of offer letters and establishing new hire files as necessary.
  • Assess existing processes for continuous improvement and makes appropriate recommendations
  • Stay current on Monro’s organization structure, human resources policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Associate degree in business administration, or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a high-volume, multi-unit, multi-state environment preferred. Recruitment experience a plus.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with candidates and flex communication styles to provide exceptional level of service
  • Strong candidate/teammate focus consistently performing with a sense of urgency
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and other onboarding related software, specifically Oracle.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and become proficient with new and existing company specific software applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs within a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and presentation skills
