We are particularly interested in speaking with you if you are comfortable collaborating with our Trading Desk along with other support areas (Operations, IT, Legal & Credit) to analyze, consult and report on our new and existing businesses. This requires a systematic approach to understanding the risks associated with controlling and accounting for the business. Reach out to our team if you have interest or familiarity in Equity and Debt Capital Markets including Initial Public Offerings, Corporate Loans and Bonds.Responsibilities:- You will produce, investigate and report the daily Profit and Loss (P&L)- You will collaborate with the Business Unit, Technology, Operations and other Controllers daily to deliver accurate P&L reporting and analysis.- You will complete thorough review and allocation of P&L attribution into its appropriate Market (Greeks) or Non-Market based effects- You will be involved in monthly Net Revenue and Balance Sheet reconciliation and substantiation, identifying any differences between our General Ledger and the P&L reporting systems.- You will support the Business Unit and Finance Management with investigating and researching outstanding issues and questions.Preferred Qualities:- You have an interest or familiarity with Financial Markets and Products- You have previous work experience in Financial Services, Audit or Accounting- You have worked against challenging stakeholders and/ or deadlines to deliver positive results- You are willing to observe process and disrupt it in order to prioritize the team' efficiency- You will be able to maintain a strong sense of organization and time management skills- You are a keen multi-tasker and use a high-paced environment to your advantageMorgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background butuniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
