These services include brokerage and investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement and trust.Position SummaryGlobal Investment Manager Analysis (GIMA), a unit within Wealth Management Investment Resources (WMIR), provides comprehensive manager research on a wide range of investment strategies, including separately managed accounts, mutual funds, UCITs, exchange-traded funds and private vehicles in the equity, fixed income, and alternative investments spaces. The GIMA team engages with a broad array of investment managers to identify high quality strategies for portfolios.Core functions:Support due diligence team performing initial and ongoing investment due diligence on managers and private investments (Private Equity, Private Credit and Private Real Estate) with a specific focus on Co-Investments structures.Research a broad range of potential Co-Investment opportunities utilizing detailed financial statement and operational reviews including modeling and valuation analysis.Analyze managers in relation to their investment process, portfolio construction and risk management capabilities.Assess manager’s historical return profile based on their performance history and attribution.Prepare written research reports and commentaries on fund managers and market trends impacting alternative investment strategies.Present findings and results to internal product approval committees, as necessary.Ongoing activities include:Adhere to policies and procedures for ongoing due diligence including onsite reviews, written research notes and updating reports.Interact with internal teams as appropriate, including Operational Due Diligence, Product Management, Sales, Legal, and Compliance, as needed.Support a team atmosphere including idea sharing, learning, and back-up.Remain abreast of industry trends, regulatory matters, and market events impacting funds, managers, clients, and the industry.QUALIFICATIONSSkills required:10-15+ years of job experience in the financial markets with experience in alternative investment research. Deep knowledge of Co-Investment structures and various illiquid alternative investment strategies.Looking for candidate that has a strong knowledge of alternatives and the desire to expand their skill set across alternative investment strategies and products.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong analytical and quantitative skills.Undergraduate degree required.MBA, CFA, CPA, and/or CAIA not required but viewed favorably.FINRA Series 7 and 63 required or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hireExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $235,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
