Mozilla exists to build the Internet as a public resource accessible to all because we believe that open and free is better than closed... and restricted. We are looking for a Security Tools Engineer to support the Security Team to advance the way Firefox protects our users.
As a Security Tools Engineer here at Mozilla, you will…
• update tools to better support the Mozilla CA Program.
• convert tools from the TLS-Observatory into Mozilla internal tools.
• implement tools that automate processes to reduce manual effort.
• work with a geographically distributed team.
• communicate openly within Mozilla, the Firefox user base and open source community.
Your Professional Profile
• An understanding of core web technologies and fundamental knowledge of cryptographic concepts, the web PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and TLS (Transport Layer Security)
• 3+ years experience with programming in Go, Python, Shell, JavaScript, HTML
• Proven ability to deliver and maintain complex software projects
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related program; or equivalent work experience
• Excellent communication skills. You can validate your decisions and communicate them clearly.
Bonus Points for…
• Experience collaborating remotely and asynchronously with a geographically distributed team.
