Azure Services Manager/Developer

mPower is seeking an Azure Services Manager / Developer to manage and maintain key Azure services and build, implement, and enhance their integrations with on-premises systems. This role provides candidates the opportunity to apply their expertise toward complex solutions development, enabling modernization for large-scale business systems supporting a health research enterprise.

 

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and management of Azure services including Azure Logic Apps, Cognitive Search, API Management, and Graph API.

- Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure services, ensuring high availability and reliability.

- Implement and manage security measures for Azure services, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.

- Architect, develop, and implement integration solutions between Azure and on-premises systems.

- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, C#, jQuery, and MS SQL to create and enhance Azure components and services.

- Design and develop APIs using SOAP, JSON, XML, REST, and WebAPI protocols.

- Develop detailed architecture diagrams and models to illustrate the design and functionality of Azure services and integrations.

- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and system manuals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Azure services.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure services and integrations.

- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate team members on the use and management of Azure services.

- Implement best practices for Azure services management, development, and integration.

- Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Azure services.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

- 8 or more years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years specialized in Azure solutions architecture, engineering, and development.

- Extensive experience with Azure services, particularly Azure Logic Apps, Cognitive Search, API Management, and Graph API.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C#, jQuery, and MS SQL.

- Strong understanding of API protocols, including SOAP, JSON, XML, REST, and WebAPI.

- Proven experience in architecting, developing, and implementing integration solutions between cloud and on-premises systems.

- Experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining custom code for Azure services.

- Ability to design and implement complex integration solutions using Azure services and various programming languages.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Microsoft Azure certifications and/or related technologies are a plus.
