Our Team
INVISTA is looking for a Multi-craft Technician to join our Camden, South Carolina maintenance team. Must have both mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong communication and computer skill. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems following established practices and procedures. Perform repairs, replacement of mechanical and electrical components on production equipment.


What You Will Do

  • Read and interpret work orders and equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various equipment and machinery throughout the plant.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control devices (110vac-480 Vac)
  • Install, repair, replace and maintain motors, AC/DC drive controls components, starters, and other related control systems.
  • Repair, replace relay/limit proximity switch logic devices and other electronic control devices.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs, DCS logic systems.
  • Use multimeters, amp probes and meg to diagnose electrical problems.
  • Use mechanical hand tools and precision measuring tools i.e. alignment and leveling tools.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems, using common hand tools to adjust or replace worn and broken parts of piping, valves and rotating equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and replace hydraulics, water, process fluid pumps.
  • Accurately utilize problem-solving skills.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or GED and four (4) or more years work experience in industrial maintenance

What Will Put You Ahead

  • AAS degree in Mechatronics or Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance with four or more years of industrial maintenance experience

Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to heat. Must be able to stand for long periods, frequently stoop, twist, bend, walk long distances, climb stairs/ladders, ability to lift 50 occasionally. Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
