Position Summary
The Accountant II is an integral role on the MultiCare finance team, responsible for month-close tasks and ledger reconciliation. In this position, you will apply your accounting expertise to ensure smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
• You will prepare journal entries and adjustments in general and subsidiary ledgers
• You will prepare monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
• You will meet monthly close deadlines and follows-up as appropriate with supervisor/reviewer to assure timely preparation of all work
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts in business administration with major or specialty in accounting required; five years of recent, relevant healthcare experience in progressively more responsible positions may be substituted for the degree
• Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Experience in creating and working with Excel spreadsheets
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $62,005.00 - $89,211.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
