Multicraft Maintenance 1st shift

Position summary:
The Maintenance Multicraft is responsible for maintaining complex electrical and mechanical equipment and executing projects and other assignments requiring electrical and mechanical skills.

Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school certificate preferred

Skills and experience:
Must Have:
  • Strong electrical skillset with experience in both industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Working knowledge of controls components including but not limited to PLCs, HMIs, Inverters, etc.
  • Ability to handle both complex electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment
Preferred:
  • Mig and Arch welding experience
  • Ability to obtain powered lift equipment license
  • Written and verbal communication skills
Essential duties:
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems
  • Participate in short-term facility and equipment projects utilizing mechanical and/or electrical skills
  • Participate in Preventative Maintenance program
  • Minimize equipment downtime and maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Be actively engaged in departmental and company wide improvement initiatives
  • Execute weekly assignments as scheduled by Team Leader
  • Complete documentation of work performed utilizing tools and resources in place
  • Support Operations, Quality and Process departments
  • Comply with Safety and Environmental procedures, regulations and initiatives including Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Understand and support Interface's commitment to sustainability.
  • Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Maintain housekeeping
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical demands:
Lifting up to 40 lbs
Standing for long periods of time
Extensive walking
Climbing ladders and stairs

Work environment:
Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment.
