We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.
We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.
We work with over 1,500 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 16,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.

The role of an Engineering Manager at Multiverse includes:
🤼 Leading & Motivating People
You’ll lead engineers from Apprentice to Senior level in one or more cross functional squads, ensuring these squads are high performing and delivering business impact in a sustainable way.
You’ll build and maintain the structure of your squad, managing recruitment, performance and retention to set it up for long term success.
⚙ Driving Engineering Quality
You’ll support engineers in aligning technical and product approaches with business needs, keeping sustainable delivery and a focus on business results in a healthy balance. You’ll need to understand what trade offs are being made and lead discussions to help your team arrive at “right-sized” solutions.
You’ll use your strong product and business acumen to spot emerging opportunities, and use the skills of your team and the cross-functional relationships you’ll develop to capitalise on these effectively.
🏆 Ownership & Impact
You’ll embrace productive conflict and remove blockers to drive your team forward. You aren’t afraid of making quick, data-driven decisions to keep up momentum.
You’ll demonstrate high ownership for your squad and the work it produces, and institute practices to continually optimise both of these over time.
To succeed in this role you’ll like to have the following characteristics and experiences:
You are an engineer-at-heart and can leverage your technical skills as required.
You focus on business outcomes and the health of your team, and see other things as secondary.
You are an experienced manager and have been responsible for the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding. You’ve dealt with conflict, managed promotions and performance processes.
You know what a high performing team looks like and the ways to create and maintain one.
You are product minded. Having worked in a product led organisation you have demonstrated experience identifying and implementing work that positively impacts the user.
You value relationships with Product and UX partners and can represent the engineering function with confidence and authority.
You embrace uncertainty. You are comfortable working in ambiguous situations and can create clarity from them. As an expert communicator you can break down complex problems and discuss them with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
You are mission driven. We are making a difference to the lives of thousands, and this drives us forwards every day.
