We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.
We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.
We work with over 1,500 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 16,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.

The Opportunity
TL;DR: Multiverse is looking for an exceptional communications professional to join our team.
You’ll be responsible for raising awareness for what we do through the media, while keeping a firm grip on the reputation of one of the most exciting, and scrutinised, scale-ups in the UK.
This means hustling to tell our story with national and sector publications, and elevating the voice of our learners and clients.
To excel you’ll need the motivation to make things happen from scratch, the strategic judgement to focus on only the most important things, and a strong willingness to learn from our wider team of marketing, brand and business colleagues.
This role will report directly to the VP Corporate Affairs, within the CEO’s Office.
Specifically, you will
Identify, plan for, and execute comms campaigns for critical calendar moments, events or Multiverse company milestones. You will draw in agency support as necessary, but own national media relationships and drive results, through this work.
Manage a program of client partnership announcements - raising visibility for Multiverse and what we do in critical trade press, in partnership with an agency.
Partner with Social, B2B Content, Internal Comms and Brand Marketing colleagues to maximise impact from integrated campaigns
Elevate the diverse range of spokespeople Multiverse has to offer, including learners, clients, and C-Suite leadership within the company
Bring the perspective of the media and external stakeholders to internal decisions around narrative, investment and company initiatives
Act like a journalist within Multiverse - spotting interesting stories, data trends and new initiatives from the work we’re doing, and telling them externally.
You will bring to the role
4+ years of experience in a communications role either in house or at agency. In particular you’ll be able to point to the impact of the media results you have delivered and your ability to manage complex relationships across internal and external partners
Proven ability to build media relationships - resulting in impactful coverage
Excellent judgement that stems from the empathy to read things from another’s point of voice, and the determination to win
Superb writing skills - you often put your hand up to proof read, and improve, copy from across the organisations you’ve worked in
The confidence to be a thought partner to VPs and C-Suite leaders, being prepared to make clear, analytics recommendations even when that means disagreeing in pursuit of common goals
Project management skills to ensure internal projects with multiple stakeholders happen on time, to a high quality, and make it out into the wider world
Passion for the role external comms can play in delivering our mission and scaling our impact.
