This role sits in our Apprentice Enablement team and is a unique opportunity to operationally enable and deliver support for our most vulnerable apprentices. The Apprentice Support Operations Associate role delivers core value by executing on key processes relating to communication, tracking and delivery of our support offer.

More specifically, as a Support Operations Associate (Additional Learning Needs Support), you will play a critical role in ensuring that our apprentices with additional support needs, including those with disclosed disabilities or  Additional Learning Needs (ALN) receive the necessary support to succeed in their apprenticeship. Your responsibilities will include delivering a range of administrative and operational tasks to ensure a smooth experience for our learners and successful operational delivery of processes. This can include managing exam adjustments, liaising with external support partners, facilitating and delivering support plans, and overseeing funding claims to ensure our learners have the resources they need.

Specifically in this role you will:

  • Coordinate and facilitate exam adjustments, such as extra time, alternative formats, or modified environments, to accommodate learners' individual needs.

  • Ensure all adjustments are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

  • Act as a key point of contact for external support partners, and support in identifying the right partners when there is a need to resource additional external support.

  • Collaborate with these partners to arrange tailored support for apprentices, ensuring that individual needs, such as counselling for neurodiverse learners or interpretation services, are met effectively.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with support service providers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of additional learning services for apprentices.

  • Coordinate the logistical aspects of support delivery. This can include tasks such as booking services or specialised coaching for neurodiverse learners, to ensure all necessary adjustments are in place for workshops and training sessions.

  • Support the ALN Executive to regularly review the effectiveness of support plans

  • Own key processes such as the early outreach and 3-monthly review check-ins.

  • Assist with managing claims for government and additional learning support (ALS) funding, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely submissions of funding claims, working closely with the finance and operations teams.

  • Track funding allocations and maintain thorough documentation to meet audit requirements.

  • Maintain up-to-date records of learning support activities, ensuring that all data is accurately captured and reported to meet compliance and regulatory standards.
