Instrument Systems Engineer
Muon Space is seeking an Instrument Systems Engineer to develop optical remote sensing instruments, contributing to climate impact missions.

Responsibilities
- Translate science and observation requirements into technical requirements
- Develop instrument system, subsystem, and component performance models
- Manage requirements traceability and ownership of requirements V&V
- Define instrument concept of operations and manage technical budgets
- Assess risks and develop mitigation plans for the instrument
- Monitor performance of on-orbit instruments and support anomaly detection
- Collaborate with engineers and mission operations teams
- Enhance processes and methodologies for efficiency in development
Education
- B.S, M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering or equivalent experience
