We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Lenovo North America VMware Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our VMware business, identifying new opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships with VMware to enhance our relationships in the field. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping our VMware business strategy and executing plans to achieve revenue targets.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive VMware business development strategy for Lenovo, aligning with overall business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Sales Engagement: Engage with Lenovo North America account managers, pre-sales engineers, inside and hybrid sales to integrate VMware licenses into hardware sales motion
  • Participation Management: Monitor and manage sales participation of VMware software and drive significant improvements in sales participation rates
  • Sales Enablement: Work closely with the sales team to provide training, tools, and resources necessary to effectively sell VMware products, ensuring their understanding of key value propositions and competitive differentiators.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and support closing deals.
  • Partnership Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with VMware OEM team and field to drive collaboration, explore joint business opportunities, and ensure joint success in the market.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on key performance metrics, market trends, and business development activities, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of industry trends, attend relevant conferences and events, and actively participate in the VMware community to build your personal brand as a subject matter expert.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field

Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or related
  • Strong understanding of the virtualization and cloud computing industry, including VMware products, solutions, and competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business targets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of Lenovo products and solutions is a plus.
The base salary range budgeted for this position is $110,000 - $145,000 USD. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. Lenovo’s various benefits can be found on www.lenovobenefits.com.
