Corporate Training Instructor I

NASA Federal Credit Union is in search of a Corporate Training Instructor with proven experience building, implementing, delivering and maintaining all training content for new and existing courses, which contribute to the overall goals, values and success of the Credit Union.  The Training Instructor will create professional course content (presentations, webinars, videos, hands-on workshops, Instructor-Led Training (ILT), etc.) to maximize the learner’s knowledge during training.  This position will deliver all courses in hybrid, virtual, and traditional classroom environments.  The Training Instructor will also incorporate, demonstrate, understand, and embrace the Credit Union’s variety of services throughout training; cross-selling products and services, product bundling, and blended financial solutions for members.

 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following with other duties as assigned.
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act and all other applicable regulations.
  • Upholds and actively demonstrates NASA Federal’s Core Purpose and Core Values. 
  • Conducts training, re-training and department training for current staff and new hires (including MSA’s) using established or new training programs and environments, which include ILT, hands-on, virtual, traditional classroom, department/branch, etc.         
  • Acts as back-up for other positions within the Training Department.
  • Works independently at other locations and/or departments as directed to develop training content and train staff.
  • Supports members by learning member-specific requirements to enhance training programs.
  • Instructs/teaches new systems, products and services and how they integrate with specific job functions within the Credit Union’s business processes.
  • Attends training classes, as required, to gain knowledge relevant to the Training Instructor role and complete training certification(s) based on industry standards.
  • Keeps informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the training field. 
  • Provides training support to new employees and others within the organization to aide in successful job performance.
  • Reports and maintains progress (adherence to Credit Union policies and understanding of training content, etc.) on trainees and personnel under guidance during training period, which includes classroom, branches and department environments. 
  • Works at branch locations/departments, when not instructing in the classroom, to train MSA’s in the branch environment and stay current with front line skills.  


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or a minimum of 3 years of subject matter experience, public speaking, training/instructing, facilitation of in-person and virtual training.

  • Displays a high-energy level when conducting training sessions.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
