Registered Nurse- ICU - Nights (PRN)

Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a PRN ICU Nights Registered Nurse (RN), ICU in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive 
Care Unit (ICU) who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and
family member. This is a 13-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio. 
 

As an ICU RN you will be responsible for: 

  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
  • Provide respiratory, and ventilator management and monitoring for patients.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree Program
  • 2 years minimum of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Current Tennessee RN license
  • Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with various members of the health care team, patients, and families.
