About the Position: The National Account Manager is the primary liaison between assigned accounts and various internal sales support departments. The National Account Manager will be responsible for the overall communication, project management and execution of all sales initiatives driven by both the company and retail partners.
Essential Functions (include but not limited to):
- Drives sales growth by the creation and delivery of presentations and sales plans
o Manager sales strategy and initiatives via the Love 360 model
o May attend company trade shows to foster relationships with existing customers and act as a support to sales organization in the closing of prospects
o Serve as main point of contact for national accounts - maintaining regular contact with their buyers and senior leadership teams
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the account status report utilized by stake holders
This report is used to streamline communication of all account related information including:
o Launch/Rollout timeline (if applicable) - communicates tasks and dates critical to customer/product rollouts
o Account Summary- periodically updated to reflect door count, assortment, POP utilized, and any special terms
o Open projects/tasks – provides time action and accountability for all ongoing projects
- Functions as singular point of communication and is accountable for managing the execution of all initiatives and projects for accounts among sales supporting departments
o Holds inter/intra-departmental team meetings to establish goals and manage progress through completion and implementation
- Analyze sales forecasts and reports to effectively identify sales opportunities
o Opportunities include:
§ Recognizing obsolete product that can be replaced with current options
§ Additional categories and items to best utilize available product options
- Collaborates with internal teams and customers to facilitate all visual merchandising direction
o Acts as liaison providing store design and rendering direction to Creative & Retail Operations teams
o Manages POP forecasts and requests
o Facilitates POP approval process for account specific needs
o Ensures brand standards are complied with, ensuring a true BEDGEAR retail experience
- Travels to retail partner locations for regular store visits, educational trainings, and on occasion, strategic business review meetings
- Collaborates with sleep coaches to educate and develop retail sales associates; furthering our retailer relationships
- Assists in additional projects/assignments as requested by management
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- High-school Diploma or GED
- English Proficient (reading, writing, speaking/listening, comprehension)
- Ability to travel up to 20% of time
Education/Experience/KSAs:
- Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or merchandising is preferred, though will accept equivalent work experience
- 1+ years' experience of brand/product marketing, account management, direct selling, or sales coordination. We are willing to to train a HUNGRY candidate.
- Experience supporting big-box retail is a plus
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly preferred
- Experience within a lifestyle brand is highly preferred
- Highly entrepreneurial, thrives in fast-paced environment
- Strong analytic, planning, and budgeting skills
- Must be self-disciplined, exceptional attention to detail, have strong organizational and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Well-developed written, oral and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
- Demonstrates positive attitude, sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable tasks
