The major duties of the Outdoor Recreation Planner (Program Manager) include, but are not limited to, the following:
Partnering: Cultivates partnerships and collaborates with state and local government partners to support the development and expansion of conservation and outdoor recreation areas and opportunities.
Providing technical assistance: Serves as a resource providing technical... assistance, advice, guidance, and recommendations to partners regarding interpreting and applying program authorities, regulations, policies, and other requirements related to recreation and financial assistance.
Project review and monitoring: Reviews and recommends outdoor recreation grant project applications for funding, evaluating their completeness, adherence to program policies and requirements, and negotiates changes and monitors project execution.
State program review: Supports program reviews for consistency with applicable laws, regulations, program policy, guidance, and procedures.
Monitoring post project responsibilities: Provides technical assistance to partners in their development and implementation of post project completion inspection programs and reviews inspection reports to ensure LWCF assisted sites and facilities are maintained according to program requirements.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level
