The National Proposal Associate supports our regions and various service lines with the coordination, development and drafting of all types of proposals across our national platform, working closely with regional business development and marketing teams. The person in this position will be responsible for working with LAZ Family members across the country to share best practices and ensure LAZ has the most up to date and effective proposal process and content possible. It will be a fast-paced position with a goal of continuously improving our proposal processes to close a higher percentage of deals. Success in this position will help us fulfill our mission to increase growth and "create opportunities for our employees."

The National Proposal Associate reports to the National Senior Director, Marketing + Communications and will work closely with senior leaders on our business development teams.

  • This position will be a remote role, ideally within a city/state with a LAZ Parking office.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Assisting with the development, editing and creation of large-scale national proposals across all service lines and regions.
  • Implements and maintains content and technology for centralized proposal library.
  • Drafting new copy for RFPs and ensuring it’s updated and distributed to all BD teams.
  • Preparing, formatting and proofing presentations, in addition to various projects in that area.
  • Communicates to Business Development and Marketing teams on new/updated. proposal/marketing content.
  • Designs magazine-style proposals by request and supports others who need training to design and build them.
  • Organize and maintain database of approved content including proposals, references, presentations, etc.
  • Helps Regional Business Development efforts as needed and by request for, writing, proofreading, formatting and branding proposals.
  • Develop tracking and filing structure for current and completed proposals.
  • Be well versed in all LAZ technology initiatives and platforms to effectively write them in to proposals.
  • Manage incoming RFP requests from website and distribute to appropriate teams.
  • Assistance with proofing copy as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in high-stress situations with tight deadlines/high customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong background in writing, grammar and editing a must.

Skills:

  • Strong written communication skills with a focus on persuasive writing and detail copy editing.
  • Very organized with strong project management skills to be able to track and meet various hard deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Experience writing and managing the proposal process.
  • Personal values that align with company mission and core values.
  • Resourceful with a strong understanding of business acumen.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team, independently, and comfortable in very fast-paced and growing environments.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization and clients.
  • Ability to interpret, lead and share policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Strong customer service skills, practical experience of client relationships.
  • Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).
