Job Summary: 

The Product Pricing & Merchandising Manager will own the development and implementation of strategies that ensure we offer the appropriate products at the optimal price, accompanied by the correct merchandising approach. The objective is to maximize margin-to-volume ratios while enabling our customer acquisition and retention goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Product Pricing Strategy & Execution

  • Create and implement pricing strategies that achieve customer acquisition and retention goals while maximizing margin-to-volume efficiency.
  • Develop and implement tailored promotional pricing strategies designed to deliver specific prices and promotions to each consumer, thereby enhancing our customer acquisition and retention efforts.

Product Portfolio Management

  • Develop and execute a strategy to consistently supply the top 80% of market-demanded products within our existing product segment.
  • Implement and oversee a product life cycle management process, encompassing new product introductions through to obsolescence, ensuring that our product offerings align with customer acquisition, retention & operational goals.
  • Manage product assortment, pricing, and promotions across multiple brand websites.
  • Monitor key performance metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, and average order value to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Manage trademarks and intellectual property, encompassing internal training, risk management, and oversight of external partners.

Digital Merchandising & Product Presentation

  • Work with internal teams to ensure product listings, category pages, and site navigation support a seamless and intuitive shopping experience.
  • Guide the selection and prioritization of product imagery to enhance conversion rates and align with merchandising strategies.
  • Work with external and internal teams to ensure product photography meets our needs.
  • Maintain and organize image assets, ensuring they are optimized for use across brand websites.
  • Provide input on creative needs for site banners, landing pages, and key merchandising placements. 
  • Ensure the accuracy of product information and cross-reference data.
  • Manage the UPC process.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Monitor key performance metrics such as conversion rates, bounce rates, and sales & margin trends.
  • Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the broader marketing team to conduct A/B tests on product pages, category layouts, and promotional placements to improve engagement and conversions.

Marketing Collaboration

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product strategies are reflected across all marketing touchpoints, including email, paid media, and social campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing campaign performance to ensure alignment with product priorities and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in e-Commerce merchandising; retail or e-Commerce pricing experience required.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high level of self-awareness, including a comprehensive understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, and how they can leverage their skills to contribute effectively to the team.

  • Ability to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to drive business results.

  • Increase orders and profitability by optimizing our product portfolio within our existing product segments
  • Grow orders and profitability by expanding into new product segments within the aftermarket home consumable market
  • Increase orders and profitability through an effective pricing strategy that leverages our capability to offer dynamic pricing
  • Increase traffic & conversion through effective product merchandising strategies
