The opportunity

The Nominations and Scheduling team works closely with customers and stakeholders in a dynamic fast paced environment. The successful candidate will schedule natural gas on TC Energy’s U.S. pipelines and storage assets and confirm activity with interconnect operators. This position includes a non-traditional rotational work schedule with some evening, weekend and holiday hours, and reports to the Manager of Nominations and Scheduling.

What you’ll do

Accurately and effectively schedule natural gas pipeline and storage capacity
Confirm activity with pipeline operators
Assist customers with balancing transactions at title transfer locations
Regularly monitor storage, OBA, power plant, and park and loan activity to ensure service compliance
Address various customer and operator inquiries related to nominations, capacity scheduling, confirmations, and OBA’s
Provide customers with training on transactional system functions and features
Update operationally available pipeline capacity and location information as required
Other tasks and responsibilities as required

Minimum qualifications

Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred and/or four years of related work experience
Must be flexible and willing to work independently on a rotational schedule that includes working some evenings, weekends and holidays
Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and due dates
Functional utilization of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
Familiarity with interstate natural gas pipeline tariffs
Working knowledge of the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) standards

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with interstate pipeline transactional systems and scheduling natural gas activity for interstate pipelines and/or storage companies.
Working knowledge of TC Energy’s natural gas pipelines and storage companies.
