Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support Peacock’s on-demand video fulfillment supply chain.
  • Ingest and prepare content for delivery to the DTC platform.
  • Communicate frequent updates to vendors, third-party clients, network partners, and internal teams.
  • Research content availability, assist with backfill, and track ingest status, providing updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage program materials, including publishing, ingest, fulfillment, and replacements.
  • Maintain media acquisition protocols, partnering with show post teams, TV Distribution, and other content providers on milestones, deliverables, and accountability.
  • Maintain trackers for internal and external teams, organizing and submitting defects and escalations as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to content prep standards and video encoding requirements, driving efficiencies across publishing workflows.
  • Have a strong understanding of technical services and applications, including Compass, Mediator, and Translator.
  • Review upcoming titles to ensure contract details and metadata are available.
  • Audit content availability and entitlement windowing, proactively addressing anomalies with licensing teams before syndication.
  • Uphold publishing guidelines and protocols for on-demand video, continuously improving delivery timelines to distribution outlets under strict deadlines and SLAs.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure content and necessary details are ready before launch.
  • Create, publish, and initiate fulfillment orders for content distribution across DTC and MVPD platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in delivery and publishing cadences, adapting as needed while adhering to syndication guidelines, compliance mandates, and promotional obligations.
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and collaborate with necessary teams to resolve them.
  • Reconcile and maintain process documentation, including user stories, workflow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Occasionally, coverage for a different shift or date may be required for specific events, with advanced notice provided when possible.
  • Assist with additional assignments as needed based on bandwidth and business needs.
  • Perform all other duties to support the success of the operations as assigned by manager and follow company rules and policies

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and relevant certification or associate degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience (production, post-production, broadcast, or streaming service)
  • 1+ year experience in client facing customer service role
  • 1+ year experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, and project management
  • 1+ years of experience in a face paced environment requiring troubleshooting, process skills, and exhibiting an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 1+ years' experience in the technology or media industry, with a proven track record in successful project management with cross-functional teams demonstrating superb communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or 2-year degree in Communications or Media.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Airtable, JIRA, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in media asset management system such as Mediator and Translator
  • Ability to work under pressure with great attention to detail.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: must be willing and able to contribute from the office a minimum of three days per week in Los Angeles, California or New York, New York. 
  • East Coast Candidates Please Note:  This role will contribute hybrid, generally contributing from the office 3x a week, from Englewood Cliffs, NJ for the foreseeable future before being reassigned to hybrid New York, NY.
  • Must be willing and available to work any shift including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation, with possibility of schedule changes on short notice, based on business needs and priorities.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing and able to view all content including that considered to be mature in nature, repetitive, and potentially controversial

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
