About the Role

We are looking for a Specialist of New Hire Programs and Experiences to drive and support the day-to-day Team Member experience for Orientation and Onboarding.  The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of operating and implementing large-scale Team Member-centric onboarding experiences.  You’ll need to be innovative and always seek to push the boundaries of adult learning & Development.  However, you must also have a relentless focus on practical application that is grounded in the realities of what our Team Members face day-to-day.

At the core of this role, you will:

  • Work with the Supervisor and Management of NHPE to ensure the Team Member experience is reflective of the comprehensive learning needs assessments identified
  • Develop, organize, and execute the new hire orientation program to ensure alignment with the company’s culture, values, and strategic goals.
  • Support the vision and strategy for NHPE
  • Gain a deep understanding of the USH business and team member population, balancing best practices and pragmatism to ensure the onboarding processes and practices are consistently aligned with USH’s culture throughout the onboarding process.
  • Analyze and problem-solve with a data-driven approach to measuring program effectiveness.
  • Drive connectivity with broader L&OD team programs (Talent Development, Organizational Development, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during orientation to address questions, provide guidance, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure all new hire materials (welcome kits, handouts, digital resources) are up-to-date and available for each session.
  • Track attendance and completion of orientation sessions, ensuring that all mandatory components are met.
  • Monitor the day-to-day operations of the orientation program, ensuring all logistics, communication, and troubleshooting are handled promptly
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of trainers responsible for delivering the orientation program.
  • Ensure trainers are adequately prepared and supported, providing them with tools and resources to deliver content effectively.
  • Regularly assess the performance of trainers through observations and feedback, offering development opportunities to ensure high standards of delivery
  • Coordinate weekly meetings with trainers to review upcoming sessions, provide updates, and address any challenges.
  • Manage the scheduling and logistics of orientation sessions, including coordination with various departments to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
  • Support and facilitate our company-wide orientation program, welcoming new hires from every population.
  • Facilitates other learning programs as assigned by Director or Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.
  • Flexibility with their schedule with availability to work on weekends, holidays, and nights as required by the Manager of Learning & Development

 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience in Talent Development, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, HR or related fields.
  • Proven experience building scalable, global onboarding programs for various audiences. (Team Members, managers, etc.)
  • End-to-end program management skills from needs assessment, design, development, and facilitation.
  • Experience with HR analytics and reporting, with introductory knowledge of visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and other business-related data analysis strategies.
  • You have familiarity with the latest digital tools, such as Articulate Rise, SharePoint, and Campaign Monitor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field

Additional Requirements:

  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days a week.
  • This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
