Develop, prepare, and analyze financial and operating data while performing a variety of complex cash and general accounting duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform daily or other cycle custodial and other reconciliations.
2. Initiate and monitor cash and other activity
3. Provide guidance and training support to Associate Accountants I or interns, as necessary.
4. Reconcile cash or general ledger accounts, researching and resolving offages.
5. Provide information to other areas of the company.
6. Apply cash payments to Account Receivable accounts, monitor and follow up on past due accounts.
7. Work with internal departments, as well as outside agencies, on accounting issues.
8. Assist Associate Accountant I with daily or monthly tasks, including accounts payable processing, credit card chargeback activity or invoice payment processing.
9. Act as a liaison for special products such as insurance companies for the Peace of Mind Program.
10. Provide support on International Accounting activity.
11. Provide backup support as directed by supervisor.
Candidates wage for this role is: $40,000-$43,000
EDUCATION:
Associate or greater degree in Accounting or related area.
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of accounting experience, reconciling experience.
COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
1. Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to update and create Excel documents using multiple formulas and shortcuts.
2. Ability to maintain accountability, confidentiality, ethics, integrity and to share information with resources appropriately.
3. Ability to work independently, as well as to work cooperatively within own team and with other teams to achieve common goals.
4. Good attention to detail.
5. Possess good judgement in dealing with business duties.
6. Ability to solve problems.
7. Able to be flexible and adaptable while managing multiple priorities.
8. Good oral and written communication skills.
9. General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
