Lead Travel Writer

This role will report to the Assigning Editor for Travel.

Where you can make an impact: 

• Write compelling travel rewards content: Craft articles that offer original insights on how readers can best use their points and miles from credit cards and airline/hotel loyalty programs.Shape content strategy: Experiment with new content types, optimize key pages and find innovative ways to engage our travel-hungry audience.Show strong thought leadership: Analyze industry trends, report on program changes and share your travel expertise.Collaborate with the team: Work closely with editors, fellow writers and the data quality team to maintain compliance and ensure our content remains fresh and informative.Be a travel reporter: Go on reporting trips and deliver articles based on firsthand experience. Write fast-turnaround stories when needed.

Your experience:

• 5+ years of editorial experience, with at least 3 years writing about travel rewards.Expert-level knowledge of credit card, airline and hotel loyalty programs.A demonstrated ability to write compelling, insightful articles.Passion for experimenting with different content formats, such as podcasts and video.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience taking ownership and driving results.

Base pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The pay range for this role is $89,000—$168,000 USD
