Joining us as a Database Administrator, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our highly skilled agile consultants teams working within large-scale transformation projects, that impact the life of millions of EU citizens. You will be involved in the design, customization, integration, and maintenance of enterprise-scale CRM/CX implementations that are intended mainly in private sector organizations. 

As a Database Administrator you will:

• Design, install, configure, maintain, upgrade and patch database systems, ensuring high availability and performance
• Design and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery
• Monitor the performance of the database system, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the database for efficient operations, including query optimization, index tuning, and performance troubleshooting 
• Contribute to database design schemas, tables, and relationships to ensure data integrity and optimize data storage 
• Investigate and resolve database-related issues, such as data corruption,connectivity problems, or performance degradation using analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems 
• Manage database security by implementing access controls, user authentication and authorization, audit, encryption and help manage sensitive data
• Maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, including reports on database performance, security, and maintenance activities 
• Design and implement maintenance procedures including index maintenance, statistics updates, archiving, partitioning
• Participate in 24x7 2nd level on-call rotation in support of production issues  (possible)
• Analyze database growth patterns, estimate future storage requirements, and plan for scalability, including partitioning and clustering techniques to handle increasing data volumes 
• Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions and queries
• Ensure all service level agreements and objectives are met

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Advanced knowledge and extensive experience on MS SQL Server
• Proficiency in performance tuning and database optimization techniques
• Sufficient knowledge on Windows, Networks, Active Directory to perform database related tasks
• Familiarity with any of the following database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, MongoDB -or other NoSQL databases).
• Good knowledge on any of these systems will be considered a huge plus

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

• Microsoft Azure familiarity
• SQL Server management and provisioning on MS Azure (PaaS, IaaS)
• SSIS knowledge
• BI and Data engineering tools (Synapse Pipelines,Databricks, Data Lake, Power BI, Data)
