Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and change their plans at any time.About the teamProduction Finance Engineering is responsible for building the tools and technologies that enables Netflix to plan and spend our members' money effectively across hundreds of titles that are produced and launched every year. It all starts with creating a budget on how we want to spend the money on a title. From that point onwards, we track every dollar spent on the title by ingesting huge volumes of production accounting data and helping keep the production cost on track. The need to improve production economics is at the core of making Netflix a differentiator amongst its competitors and the work we do as part of this team is critical in making that happen.As we embark on the next phase of our journey to improve the production economics, we are looking to hire a full stack engineer to join our team.In this role, you will:• Collaborate with PMs, Designers and other engineers to build new features end to end.• Participate in technical design discussions with other engineers.• Work closely with stakeholders and end users to understand their pain points and brainstorm ideas.• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to leverage Netflix Paved Road technologies.What we are looking for:• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building web applications.• Professional proficiency in Java, Python or Javascript.• Should have worked on both backend and frontend technologies.• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and microservices architecture that are highly available, efficient and performantOur compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
