Wilson Elser currently seeks a Network Analyst to join a fast- paced, successful, team in our New York City office.
This role is accountable for planning, support and maintenance of networking infrastructure (switching, routing, load balancing, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, QoS, traffic prioritization, zero trust segmentation, network-based firewalls, etc.); strategic planning for ongoing improvement of networking environment, maintenance and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all networking components, research and evaluation of current and emerging technologies.

The Position
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- Thorough understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Direct, hands-on experience with relevant technologies (routing, switching, load balancing, SD-WAN (SilverPeak), DM-VPN, datacenter fabrics, tapping solutions, ACL development, firewall policy management, network management and monitoring systems, etc.)
- Hands on experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Firepower
- Palo Alto Panorama
- Nexus 9300 in ACI mode
- Hands on experience with administration and troubleshooting Zscaler
- Solarwinds Network Configuration Manager
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco Meraki
- Citrix Netscaler (Citrix Gateway, Traffic Management, Load Balancing)
- Solid and broad general technical foundation (servers, applications, security, load balancing, vlans, OSPF, BGP, port channels, proxies, WAF, etc.).
- Solid troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to translate non-technical user requirements and descriptions into system designs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals.
- Ability to multitask and switch focus among multiple different efforts quickly.
- Excellent organizational and self-management skills.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Ability to work well in a team (team player) and individually (self-starter).
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience directly implementing and supporting a networking environment across multiple sites is required.
- Applicable certification (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, etc.) preferred.
- Previous experience in the legal field is desired.
- Some travel maybe required
Responsibilities
- Expand and Enhance the production networking environment
- oRecommend designs relevant to the production environment to ensure appropriate performance, resilience, and security.
- oDefine requirements, evaluate and plan/manage changes to production infrastructure.
- oMaintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all network system components.
- Maintain the Networking Environment
- oMonitor vendor alerts regarding functionality, security or performance issues related to firm equipment and systems.
- oMonitor vulnerability findings related to networking equipment
- oPerform regular maintenance of the firm’s networking infrastructure, including upgrading, patching, and tuning components.
- oDocument and maintain accurate configuration information and network diagrams.
- Support the Networking Environment
- oEstablish and adjust configurations in support of firm initiatives.
- Contribute to upskilling level 1 and level 2 systems operations support teams
- oProvide documentation and training for additions or changes to our environment.
- oAssist as 3rd level support.
- Support Team Initiatives
- oMaintain current knowledge of current and emerging technologies, regularly analyzing and evaluating their impact and benefit to Firm.
- oProvide backup support for other members of the Network Engineering team.
- oProvide assistance to users and other parts of IT
- oManage network-related trouble tickets
- oAssist with the preparation of team status/progress reports
- oCommunicate proactively, openly and clearly.
- oPerform other departmental duties as necessary
- oSupport initiatives and special projects of other teams as required
- On-Call Escalation availability off-hours and weekends when required
- After-hours work required during project implementation
- Some Traveling may be required
- 100 % remote

The annualized salary range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000.Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
