We are looking for an upbeat, motivated, self-starter with exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to own tasks and projects end-to-end. Reporting to the HR Director, you will be the primary contact for all things benefits and payroll-related and will work cross-functionally with the HR, Talent and Finance teams.

What you’ll be doing

As the Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate administration of payroll, benefits, and compensation programs for our globally distributed workforce. You will be responsible for designing and implementing competitive compensation structures, managing employee benefits programs, and overseeing payroll processes to guarantee compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Oversee the end-to-end global payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax regulations and labor laws to ensure compliance.

Benefits Management:

  • Manage and enhance employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with benefit providers
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and address inquiries

Compensation Strategy:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain competitive compensation structures
  • Conduct market research to ensure our compensation offerings remain competitive
  • Analyze salary trends and make recommendations to leadership

Global Compensation Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with global compensation regulations and standards
  • Work closely with legal and HR teams to implement and communicate changes in compliance requirements

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate reports and analytics related to payroll, benefits, and compensation
  • Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Employee Education and Support:

  • Provide guidance to employees on payroll, benefits, and compensation-related matters
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure employees understand and maximize their benefits

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits vendors
  • Monitor vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize services

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in payroll, benefits, and compensation management.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Will be a plus

  • SHRM or other relevant certifications are a plus

Hybrid or Remote

The position is ideally a hybrid role and the office is located in Walnut Creek, CA.

 

Base pay range
$75,000$150,000 USD
