For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth.The Passaic Vicinage is seeking a strong leader committed to delivering quality service, who possesses outstanding administrative, financial management, communication, and writing skills to serve as Court Executive 2b (Finance Division Manager). This accounting professional will motivate employees, provide direction, establish accounting procedures, and ensure solid management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Under the direction of the Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator), this individual will direct and supervise the everyday operations of the Finance Division. The selected candidate will also formulate and direct the implementation of Judiciary plans, programs, policies and procedures.REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.Example of DutiesDuties include but are not limited to the following:• advise managers on deadlines, rules, regulations or related information• interpret accounting or financial data• prepare and review budgets• recommend personnel actions• assess staff performance• mentor/coach staff and provide direction and feedback• participate in team or work unit meetings• foster relationships with other divisions• plan agendas for meetings• explain Judiciary policies or procedures to clients or customers• assign workload/specific duties to staff• conduct training sessions or orientation programs• implement programs, operating procedures or systems• perform related duties/work as requiredQualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance. Six of these credits must be in accounting and five years of professional administrative and/or program management experience which shall have included experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management, financial analysis, finance, and/or developing, implementing and analyzing financial procedures, systems and controls and three years of supervision of staff.Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education but do possess the required 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance (including six accounting credit hours), may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above.Unofficial college or university transcript is required to be added to your employment application in order to be considered for this position.Education Note: Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
