The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to accelerate cures for the major diseases of our time through stem cell research.
We are seeking an Intern to support the Office of the President & CEO with initiatives including scientific programs, internal organizational needs, communication efforts, and other special projects. You will report to the Chief of Staff and work collaboratively with members of the President & CEO office and across the organization. This role requires an onsite presence 4-5 days/week with the option to work remotely one day/week. This paid internship opportunity extends from June 2024 to September 2024, with the potential to extend.
What you’ll do:- Provide high-level administrative support to the executive team, assisting with daily operations of the Office of President & CEO and the organization.
- Liaise directly between the President & CEO's Office and teams within the organization.
- With the Chief of Staff, provide input on the President & CEO’s project plans and proactively assist with follow-through and monitoring deadlines.
- Construct briefings related to the President & CEO’s calendar.
- Conduct research, stay abreast of the latest stem cell news and stem cell policy, as well as other related areas, and compile data to assist with decision-making and strategic planning.
- Support project coordination throughout the organization.
- Backup to the Executive Assistant for the President & CEO.
- Input and maintenance of President & CEO contacts and meetings in data tracking systems.
- Help manage the executive’s communication and correspondence as needed.
- Assist with special projects in support of the President & CEO.

- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
$18 - $20 an hour
The base hourly rate for this position begins at $19. Final offer amounts and levels are determined by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above. NYSCF has a 35-hour work week, and this position is non-exempt. Any additional hours worked will be overtime eligible, although we do not anticipate you working overtime in this role.
