Java Developer with Automation TestingLocation: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - Local candidates preferred due to in-person interview requirements)Position Type: Contract to Hire (H1B candidates are acceptable)Job Details:Work to be Performed:Build out an automation testing framework.Complete framework hardening.Develop web services.Handle large data set processing.Create Jenkins pipelines.Support automation framework migration from first generation to NextGen.Required Skills:Java Spring Boot and Python: Strong Java knowledge and object-oriented programming concepts.Containerization: Experience with Docker or Podman.Build Automation and Dependency Management.Big Data Technologies: Experience with cloud services, Kafka, AWS, S3, PostgreSQL, Redis, and databases.Spring Boot Web Services: Extensive experience in creating web services applications.In-depth knowledge of multi-threaded, highly distributed, and concurrent systems.Experience Required:5+ years of strong Java development experience or equivalent.Experience in developing multithreaded, performant, distributed applications and web services.Strong experience with testing Java-based distributed applications.Deep understanding of testing concepts and principles.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
