Job Description :
Intern Product Management (CMS & Publishing)
The Product Management Intern (CMS & Publishing), will provide coordination, support, communication, and policy and process management across a number of initiatives in News Corp’s Global Tech organization, focusing on newsroom technology and content systems.
The successful candidate will coordinate and connect the dots across multiple product engineering teams and functions; ensure that product processes and documentation are clearly communicated, archived, and delivered; provide product research support; create/develop written synthesis and reporting across a number of product workstreams.
This role is hybrid and require 3 days in office a News Corp HQ in NYC.
Program Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the product management team to develop and execute a strategy for our organization, aimed at promoting cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing within our team and among business unit stakeholders.
• Foster relationships with newsroom stakeholders, build trust across the enterprise and marshall grassroots support for global technology initiatives.
• Progress adoption of platforms, technology and processes that help business units realize value at scale.
• Provide localized product management support where necessary, assisting teams in breaking down problems into actionable steps
General Responsibilities:
• Support HQ Product leaders in properly memorializing product documentation and keeping this documentation up to date.
• Synthesize information from a variety of product workstreams and provide concise, well-written, narrative summaries, suitable for internal publication (case studies, new product announcements, etc)
• Coordinate calendars, groups, notes, and follow-ups for cross-business unit global product engineering collaboration programs
• Identify ongoing opportunities for improvement in process and approach
• Manage or assist in managing administrative tasks and processes related to third-party product vendors
Skills & Experience:
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a wide range of teams and seniority levels
• Familiarity with common tech team software tools, including: Google Workspace (Slides, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, groups), Slack, Confluence/Notion, Jira
• Familiarity with product management principles and methodologies, as well as AI concepts, is a plus.
• Strong interest in the media industry and familiarity with digital products and services, especially content management systems and video
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges.
Pay range: 18-21
