NexThreat is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Database Engineer to support a program in Fort Meade, MD. 

POSITION OVERVIEW: Database Administrator who is passionate and a creative problem solver who thrives on being customer service oriented. This is an outstanding opportunity to leverage your strong technical skills and experience to help our customers succeed in a new field of support. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Creating and maintaining new technical solutions. 

• Enhancing existing applications by integrating new technology components and capabilities. 

• Assisting the customer in understanding and evaluating new technologies with respect to their current and future needs. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA/DBE performing database administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities. 

• Experience as a Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer performing administration, engineering, or design in support of system engineering, software development, or related activities. 

• Experience with any of the following technologies and applications: 

o MS SQL Server 

o PostgreSQL 

o MySQL 

o Oracle DB 

o AWS Aurora, RDS 

o ArcGIS 

o RESTful web services 

• Experience with any of the following a plus: 

o Java/Javascript 

o HTML/CSS 

o SharePoint 

o Powershell 

o Power BI 

o Tableau 

o Docker 

o Atlassian suite (Jira, etc.) 

o Cloud-based platforms 

• Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments a strong plus. 

• Must be able to work in a flexible/fluid environment.
