GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical expertise and support in the implementation, support and maintenance of hardware and software to support Web Collaboration services, Windows Server, SQL Server solutions, the Windows suite of applications in general; applications supporting Web Collaboration for production and online meeting support including but not limited to, the following functions:
• Web Collaboration software installation, configuration, upgrade, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. (e.g. Adobe Connect, Cisco WebEx, MS Lync, MS Windows 2008, MS SQL and Federated login)
• Web Collaboration hardware installation, configuration, upgrade, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. (e.g. Blade servers, F5, firewall)
• Provide primary and backup administration of customer multimedia and web collaboration systems to include system backup and restore, monitor and perform maintenance, license management, coordinate resolution with vendor, hosting and service provider.
• Architect, develop enhancements, design, and perform system and sustained engineering activities that will contribute to the successful delivery of interactive Web Collaboration services online to include emerging technologies and trends in online web collaboration; perform and document business needs, justification and analysis.
• Translate requirements into system design documents, operational procedures and user guides.
• Act as an expert liaison with other components of customer’s equipment to provide information sharing as well as training pertaining to the needs of the diverse set of computer users.
• Problem determination, including interfacing with customer Information technology specialists as necessary to isolate the causes of problems.
• Tier 3 problem resolution, break/fix situations, including dealing with software and hardware vendor technical support as needed.
• Develop enhancements to web-collaboration applications.
• Perform demonstrations.
• Conduct instructor-led trainings.
Provide technical expertise and support in the implementation, support and maintenance of hardware and software to support Video Teleconferencing, Windows Server, the Windows suite of applications in general including but not limited to, the following functions:
• Video Teleconferencing hardware installation, configuration, upgrade, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Translate requirements into system design documents, operational procedures and user guides.
• Investigate emerging technologies.
• Deploy solutions that encourage adoption of video teleconferencing technologies.
• Architect, develop enhancements, design, and perform system and sustained engineering activities that will contribute to the successful delivery of Video Teleconferencing services to include emerging technologies and trends; perform and document business needs, justification and analysis.
• Problem determination, including interfacing with customer’s Information technology specialists as necessary to isolate the causes of problems.
• Problem resolution, break/fix situations, including dealing with software and hardware vendor technical support as needed.
• Monitor customer’s on-site meetings and provide assistance to maintain equipment and presentation during the meeting.
• QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:
o Education: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 7 years’ experience.
o High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience. Manages staff. Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen
Must be prepared to commute to the office up to 3 days a week.
