Our Company:
Founded in 1946, Canton Elevator Inc. (CEI) is a leading designer and manufacturer of complete hydraulic and traction elevators in North America. CEI also offers a wide range of elevator architectural products. CEI’s products exist in thousands of buildings around the country, such as universities, hospitals, shopping malls, office buildings, etc. In 2016, CEI was acquired by Nidec Corporation of Japan.

Job Description

This Cost Accountant is responsible for assisting with the planning, implementation and maintenance of the cost accounting system. Major responsibilities include accurate and timely analysis, as well as contributing to reporting and compliance activities.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Monitor inventory activities from purchase of raw material through the production process to finished goods.
• Assist with tracking and reporting expenses.
• Support cost system development and associated internal controls.
• Assist with preparing the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing reports/presentations.
• Coordinate integration of cost accounting system with other company accounting and administrative systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Cost Accounting systems and best practices.
• Proficient at Microsoft Office.
• Strong internal customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills.
