ABOUT THE ROLE
The Program Analyst is responsible for researching, scheduling, analyzing, and delivering data and reports on time via working with internal teams and clients, while supporting projects of moderate complexity simultaneously.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, develop and maintain corporate websites according to business needs and functional requirements.
- Develop custom plugins, themes and functionality using PHP for WordPress and Gutenberg (Block Editor) or custom blocks, ensuring scalability, security and performance optimization.
- Install, configure and maintain WordPress instances, including managing themes, plugins and core updates.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using React.js and Alpine.js to enhance user interfaces and interactivity.
- Integrate third-party services, API’s and platforms to WordPress to meet growing needs of the business.
- Implement backend solutions using Laravel and NodeJS, including creating and maintaining REST APIs.
- Work collaboratively with website designers, product manager and web strategist to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues
- Perform regular updates and maintenance on the website.
- Provide the production and execution team with training and demos on new features and functionality.
- Identify and execute solutions to continually improve website performance and functionality.
- Implement security best practices to mitigate risks and protect Nielsen.com from vulnerabilities.
SKILLS REQUIRED- 3+ years experience in WordPress development.
- Proficient in frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks Experience with React.js and Alpine.js for frontend development.
- Strong backend development skills using PHP, including experience with WordPress APIs, custom plugin development, and Gutenberg Blocks.
- Experience working in the WordPress development ecosystem.
- Proficient with NodeJS and creating/maintaining REST API.
- Support legacy libraries such as Bootstrap 4, and jQuery.
- Experience with Google Cloud, Apps Script, and AWS is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Use of software design and testing principles.
- Version control and continuous integration using tools such as GitHub, CircleCI.
- Knowledge of website accessibility standards
