Quality Assurance Technician

Our mission is to create a food safety system in the entire process from product development to delivery to our customers, and to contribute to sales and profit growth.

The QA Section mainly carries out external quality assurance work for products that have been shipped outside the factory.

There are four major duties in QA department. Inspection, SQF Work, Responding to Complaints & Production Issue and Making the Documents.

JOB SUMMARY

-Suggest improvement ideas to manager according to company policy, customer requirements, and various regulations by seeing actual place, actual part, and actual situation.

-Responsible for pursuing a substantial reason of problems, and suggesting and execute a fundamental solution.

-Conduct all quality assurance-related works.

-Correspond customer requests including complaints and product spec sheets.

-Follow all regulations such as CGMP, SQF, CDPH, FDA and so on.

-Help QC section positively.

Pay Range (Hourly): $23.50 - $27.20

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-All outputs need to be approved by QA manager.

-Maintain work area to be clean, safety, and organized.

-Make and submit documents in accordance with customers’ requests following the US regulations and company rules.

-Make our product-related documents such as COA, ingredients list, nutrition facts and etc. in accordance with the US regulations and company rules if the R&D team requests, and double check it if there are any mistakes.

-QA-related tests required from R&D, sales, and customers.

-Correspond customers’ and 3rd parties’ audits such as CDPH, SQF, FDA as an assistant.

-Suggest improvement ideas to supervisors.

-Maintain all ingredients and packaging spec sheets to be updated.

-Assist production of new items without problems.

-Conduct hazard analysis for all new and current products, ingredients and packaging.

-Train new hires for QA/QC about food safety.

-Be responsible for accuracy of all QA/QC related documents.

-Correspond complaints, inquiries, directions and requirements from customers, consumers, governments and so on through documents, phone call, emailing, and meetings.

-Report all QA/QC related works including monthly SQF reports to supervisors or upper management.

-Understand and follow the latest regulations, and report if you learn any new regulations are issued.

-Alternatively perform upper management’s work if needed or directed by upper management.

-Research and report latest food-related regulations to upper management.

-Help QC team.

-Not limited to the above. Need to follow your supervisors or upper management.

-Legally authorized to work in the US without any visa support.

-Bachelor’s degree or above for food science or related science such as biology or chemistry. Or a person who has worked at a Quality Assurance or Quality Control in other companies. Or a -person approved by the company requirements: 1. Obtainment of a GMP certificate from a free online training, 2. Completion of Better Process Control School, 3. Obtainment of HACCP certification, 4. Obtainment of a GMP certificate from an online training that is recommended by CDPH

-Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a car.

-Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently at business level.

-Ability to lift over 40 pounds.

-Ability to work standing and/or sitting for 8 hours a day or longer.

-Ability to use MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows operation system.

-Basic calculation skills(Addition, multiplication, subtraction, division)

-Able to eat, taste and analyze all ingredients, products and cooked items including meats, seafood, vegetables, fruits, wheat, soy, peanuts, and sesame.

-Ability to cook by using kitchen items.

-Comply with company rules.

-Punctuality.

-Work following company policies

-Focus on the task given by the company.

-Ability to work with honesty, perseverance, and continuance.

-Collaborate and cooperate with own department and other departments.

-Manage time while prioritizing tasks.

-Keep sensitive information confidential.

-Communicate with other employees in good.
